Welcome to Indie Session! My name is Justin, and I’m an experienced guitarist, producer, recording engineer, and songwriter with over 25 years of experience. My mission in creating Indie Session is to empower independent musicians to play, write, and record their won music.

With a rich history of teaching, recording, playing in numerous bands, and working on Music Row with Sony Music—where we launched acts such as Dave Matthews, Usher, Montgomery Gentry, System of a Down, and Dixie Chicks—my background brings unparalleled industry expertise to beginning musicians learn their instruments and perfect their craft!

At Indie Session, we understand the challenges self-taught musicians face because we’ve been there. Our goal is to help you quickly become proficient with your instrument and equip you with the knowledge and tools to truly understand music. We are dedicated to fostering your growth as an artist, nurturing your passion, and guiding you to write your own music.

About Us

With over 25 years of experience as a teacher, guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, sound engineer, and producer, I have a rich history on Nashville’s famed Music Row. My journey includes teaching guitar and music theory, live performances, recording sessions, and managing bands in one of the world’s largest music markets. Today, my passion lies in helping self-taught musicians overcome the challenges I once faced. At Indie Session, my goal is to help you become a true musician—someone who understands the guitar, grasps how music works, and enjoys the satisfaction of writing original material.
